Social Anxiety Forum

For many who suffer from social anxiety, getting help can be difficult due to hang-ups about 'shrinks', or financial reasons or even embarrassment. Sometimes the best social anxiety support can come from just talking with others who experience social anxiety and can relate.

A Social anxiety forum is a great place to get support. A Social anxiety forum gives you the ability to ask questions, vent and all the while remaining anonymous.

Here a re a list of sites for social anxiety support as well as a social anxiety forum:
Social Anxiety Support
Heal Social Anxiety
Anxiety Tribe
Daily Strength

Im sure there are many social anxiety forums out there as well as many site for social anxiety support, though these are the ones I am familiar with and highly reccomend.

And if you are ready to go beyond your social anxiety don't forget to check out Panic Away, great for all anxiety related disorders.

  1. Thanks Jason for setting up this blogger.

I also had my first panic attack at the age of 16. I was in a high school choir and we were singing in front a huge crowd of ppl. That's when I lost it. Since then - I have never been comfortable talking in front of people until a few years ago.

I started doing self-hypnosis and visualizing myself talking in front of people. Today, I am a lot better (still not 100% - but getting there) - and I am beginning to help other people.

I have two websites that help people (if I may leave them here Jason). The first one helps people that are trying to withdrawal from Benzo medications like Klonopin and Xanax - http://www.klonopinwithdrawal.com - and the second one is to help people overcome shyness and social anxiety - http://www.overcome-social-anxiety.com

Currently I am trying EFT (emotional freedom technique) and see if this experiment works. However, I have seen hypnosis do some pretty good things. You just have to stay consistent.

Anyway - thanks again for this blog - and have a great day!

  2. I am curious about the self hypnosis and EFT. I have been pretty much anxiety free for quite a while but still have episodes now and then. Lately I've been under a lot of stress and have had several panic attacks over the past few days. Let me know how the EFT works, and thanks for leaving the informative links. I will also post them on my other anxiety website wich deals with GAD, panic attacks, ocd, depression etc, not just social anxiety.
